What is cyber bullying?
Cyber bullying is when someone sends you nasty texts or mesages online.
Cyber bullying is different to normal bullying because it is not done face to face. The bullies can comment you on bebo,myspace or mesage you on msn. Cyber bullying is easier to prove because you have the mesages on your computer or mobile, wheras with normal bullying, its you’re word against some one elses.
What to do if your being cyber bullied.
Save all evidence whether its texts, comments on bebo / myspace, voicemails, anything you have been sent which you think is bullying or threataning.
try to block the bully/ies on msn, bebo or myspace. if you don’t know how, ask a mate to help.
try not to reply or retaliate when they say or do anything. hopefully they’ll get bored and move on.
If you are being bullied by text , tell your service provider, who will have someone for this very reason, or change your number but only give your new number to your mates.
tell an adult you trust. it could be a teacher, parent,auntie, uncle, neighbour any adult really, who you know and trust.
